Debt Relief
- In March 2010 the IDB Board of Governors agreed to forgive all Haiti’s outstanding debt, totaling $484 million.
- The IDB also converted into grants $144 million in undisbursed loan balances.
- In 2009 the IDB provided Haiti $511 million in debt relief. The cancelled amount covered all debt outstanding at the end of 2004.
- Haiti became a grants-only country for the IDB in 2007.
