Short-Term Opportunities
The IDB hires professionals on a fee basis for specific tasks and projects. The following short-term opportunities are available:
Consultant contracts are characterized by well-defined deliverables associated with highly specialized services or the performance of tasks to complete specific products at set rates. Consultant contracts will be based on the time required for delivering specific products, up to a maximum of 190 working days or 1,520 working hours in a 12-month period.
Trust Fund Appointments provide expert advice, conduct studies and coordinate programs and related activities pursuant to trust funds administered by the IDB. Terms of reference and duration of these contracts must be consistent with the requirements of the relevant trust fund and applicable Bank policies.
Temporary Help contracts are designed to meet increases in workload or to provide services for short periods, generally for support activities that do not require highly specialized skills beyond those normally acquired through some post-secondary education and relevant practical experience. These contracts may not extend beyond a maximum term of 12 months less one day.
